Information on enrolment:
The courses are offered during the TUD lecture period in 3 time blocks and run for eight weeks (for block B, participants must re-enrol) or 16 weeks (block A + B). In block C there will probably be a colourful mix of offers.
Enrollment begins on 9/4/2025 - classes start 14/4/2025.
Each enrolment is only valid for the respective course. 2x play means 2x enrolment and 2x payment.
Please make sure to enter a correct e-mail address when registering, otherwise the booking cannot be finalised.
The basketball courses are designed as broad-based sports programmes for all interested parties. As a rule, two thirds of the time in the courses is spent training and one third playing (except in the playing groups). The course organisation is individually tailored to the training group.
We ask that you arrive punctually for the courses so that the methodical process is not disrupted and injuries are avoided.
Which courses do we offer?
Basic course I Advanced course I & II |
Basic course - Training You just want to get a taste of basketball and have little or no previous knowledge. In the basic courses, basic skills such as dribbling, passing, catching and throwing as well as rules are taught and applied in the game. | Advanced II - Training A good command of basic techniques and knowledge of the rules are just as much a prerequisite as an understanding of group and team tactics. The courses focus on team play and the teaching of advanced tactical elements. In addition, individual skills are consolidated and improved at an advanced level. |
Advanced course I - Training You have already attended a basic course or acquired previous knowledge in some other way. Individual skills such as dribbling, passing, catching and throwing are applicable. You are also familiar with rules, positions and basic terms. In the advanced courses, you will mainly consolidate the basics and learn simple group and team tactics. | Playgroup In the play groups, the focus is on playing basketball without instruction. Play groups can also be booked at intermediate and advanced level. |

Our selection teams can only be booked by authorised players. We take part in the annual Saxon University Championships (SHM) and the German University Championships (DHM) with different selection teams in the women's and men's sections. We also regularly organise internal tournaments.
Women's competition teams
The basis of the teams for the SHM and the DHM consists of the advanced women's training group at the DHSZ. The team is supplemented by student club players. If you are interested, please come along to the training group, contact the course leader or the basketball coordinator.
Men's competition teams (There is currently no selection training group at the DHSZ)
