English Version:
Romantic, playful, simple. Bachata is one of the most beautiful and popular social dances on the salsa scene. Bachata is easy to dance and can be playful, dynamic and romantic. It is available in different styles. Bachata has its roots in the Dominican Republic.
Sensual, fiery, passionate and diverse... These attributes best describe Bachata. Bachata originally comes from the Dominican Republic and has also gained enormous popularity in Europe in recent years. It is a must at any salsa or other Latin party. The step sequence is simple. The leg movement comes slightly from the knees, with one leg placed next to the other during the basic step. Just like merengue and salsa, bachata is not a standardized dance, i.e. there are many variations and movement sequences. Bachata can be danced very close and hip-accentuated. However, there is also a “European” version that can be danced with more body distance.

Beginners:in
First the basic steps and then various smaller figures, turns and combinations are taught so that the dance never gets boring. We will slowly introduce you to the typical Bachata movements and help you with tricks and tips so that you have a wide repertoire of figures and Bachata styles at your disposal after the course. Participants will also gain an insight into music and rhythm. At the beginning of each lesson there is a small “freestyle part” (also called “open shines”). Everyone learns the steps for themselves first. This helps you to concentrate on your own steps and movements. The steps learned are then transferred to the couple dance during the course.
Advanced course
The advanced course is suitable for Bachata dancers who have already attended the beginners' course or who already have some previous knowledge of Bachata (at least basic steps and right or left turns). The course is structured similarly to the beginners' course. At the beginning of each lesson there is a small “freestyle part” (also called “open shines”). Everyone first learns the steps on their own. Then, in the course of the class, the steps learned are transferred to the couple dance. We will rehearse pretty new figures and turns with you. We will also include repetitions of figures from the beginners' course.
Please bring clean and flat shoes! Shoes must be changed for the course, participation only possible in shoes with clean soles.
