Notes for participants in the lifeguarding course:
As part of the DHSZ lifeguarding course, participants acquire knowledge about rescuing drowning victims in conjunction with first aid measures following a water rescue in accordance with the German Swimming Examination Regulations.
Prerequisites for participation:
1. all content is taught in German!
2. 400m swimming in a maximum of 15 minutes, of which 50m crawl, 150m breaststroke and 200m swimming in the supine position with straddle stroke without arm action
3. ability to swim for one hour with minor breaks - with a minimum total distance of at least one kilometer
4. the ability to dive a distance of at least 15m and to dive to a depth of at least 3m
The instructors reserve the right to check the specified requirements during the first lesson.
German bronze/silver lifeguard badge examination:
The aim of the course is to pass the theoretical and practical examination to become a silver lifeguard. Participation in an event for theoretical examination content and proof of a first aid course are required, which must not be older than two years at the time of the examination. The event for the theoretical examination content will take place on 25.01.25. Alternatively, it is possible to take part in an online course for the theory on 01.01.25. (The theory course in presence is no longer compulsory).
An additional fee will be charged for the exam.
ATTENTION: Participation in a first aid (EH) course may also incur additional costs!
