Enrollment information:
The courses are offered during the TUD lecture period in three blocks and run for eight weeks (participants must re-register for Block B) or 16 weeks (Blocks A + B). Block C is expected to offer a colorful mix of courses.
Block A: October 20 - December 14, 2025 Block B: January 5 - February 27, 2026 Block C: March 2 - March 31, 2026
Registration: October 15, 2025 for students & employees
Each registration is valid only for the respective course. Playing twice means registering twice and paying twice.
When registering, be sure to enter a correct email address, otherwise the booking cannot be completed.

The use of adhesive substances in our sports halls is prohibited! Clean indoor shoes with light-colored soles are mandatory!
Hello everyone - are you interested in playing handball at DHSZ? Then you've come to the right place!
Whether you've played handball before or are just starting out, everyone is welcome here. Our various courses cover all levels of your handball career. Our mixed model creates an open atmosphere in which people of all genders are welcome to play and train together in a course. Our course instructors not only teach the fun of the game, but also aspects such as technique and tactics. We look forward to seeing you in our courses...also as a volunteer or coach!

We offer the following courses:
Basic Course I (Level I & II)
Requirements:
- You don't need anything except to register :)
- If you've ever watched handball before, that's obviously a slight advantage
- You're a goalkeeper or want to try your hand at goalkeeping – feel free to email the coaching team after registering
Basic Course II (Level II)
Prerequisites:
- Basic knowledge of handball, participation in Basic Course I for 2 semesters
- Mastery of the basic rules of handball
- Confident passing and throwing of the ball, knowledge of basic defensive and offensive tactics
- Strong focus on tactical and playful basic principles/skills
- You are a goalkeeper or are interested in playing goalkeeper – please contact the coaching team by email after registering
Intermediate Course (Level III)
Prerequisites:
- You meet all the requirements of Basic Course II and have mastered all the content
- Use of feints and blocking, precise throws and passes
- Basic tactical/playing requirements:
Parallel pushes, simple crosses, running in, actions in fast breaks, easy understanding of plays and running paths
- Ideally, you have several years of experience in school handball or club sports
or have participated in the basic course at least twice and received a recommendation for further training or a change from our handball coaches

Advanced course - High level (Level IIII)
Prerequisites:
- Confident mastery of the content from Course III
- You can read the game and react accordingly; typical opening moves should be familiar
- Typical defensive maneuvers are familiar and can be applied after explanation; proper defensive behavior
- You are a goalkeeper or are interested in playing goalkeeper – please contact the coaching team by email after registering
University selection
The university selection is for people who travel to tournaments (SHM, DHM, tournaments in Magdeburg or Konstanz, etc.).
The course is password-protected, as the aim of the course is to play together and consolidate tactical content, such as plays. The password can be obtained from Nicole (handball coordinator). Participation in the course is only possible in conjunction with another handball course.
